Road Trip!

My dh announced today that we were going on a road trip! To a bigger town about 2 hours away with a lot of shopping ~ for part of my mother's day present ~ Yippee! (I was born and lived in that town until I was 12. ~ just a tidbit of info :) This picture was taken on the way (about 50 miles from our destination), I love the cool rock formations and I thought the thunder clouds building totally fit the last day of weather week.

The next picture is just a fun one while we were driving home! We have been having just beautiful, warm weather ~ yup, it's time for those bugs on the windshield again!

And for the last picture......about 30 miles from home! The sun was just going down ~ what a gorgeous sunset we had tonight! Right now we have all these little "ponds" in the gulleys from all the rain we have been getting so I was so excited when I saw this. I was just off the highway and couldn't get any closer, so I couldn't get rid of the fence! Still a beautiful shot, though. CC welcome and appreciated!
