tails going up and down until, yes, a tornado! I don't really know how many there were or of any damage. I heard at one point, there had been as many as 7 sited. We also got major amounts of rain and quarter size hail. A couple of yrs. back we had baseball size hail and A LOT of damage, so I was glad we didn't get that this time. Yes, I admit as you can tell, I took these photographs
from inside the car (and yes) bad me, I was driving! I was sure glad I had taken my camera with me. I would have liked to have had my zoom lens to get a closer one of the tornado, but at
least I got one! Again, technically, not great pictures because they were taken from the car while I was driving! CC welcome and appreciated.

WOW! I would have been totally freaked out! I've never seen a tornado and with my huge fear of thunderstorms, I don't think I could have handled it.

ARE YOU CRAZY? Are you a tornado chaser or something? I've NEVER seen one this close or for that matter, at all...it's all a little creepy for me. However, great shots and the color seems to capture that ominous feeling to it.
Yikes! That's scary! I live in tornadoe alley, so these things aren't new to me, but they scare me still! I've seen too many with my eyes to be comfortable when they announce a severe storm coming our way! Scares me to death! Props to you for capturing a picture! I always haul my camera and computer to the basement LoL-

OMG I would have been so scared. I thought the top shots were awesome until I came to that bottom shot. It does look like you were driving right for it!! Great shots.
I live in the tip of tornado alley, so we have them pretty often. But that doesn't diminish the scariness of it all!! I love the pic taken when you're driving down the road--it does look like you are heading right for it!! Glad all turned out ok. You got some great shots to remember it by!!

How cool are those shots. Very scary that you are that close to a tornado, but I would taken the shots too before hitting the gas and getting far far away. Glad you were safe.

these are so freakin cool....I must admit that I am a bit jealous, one of my dream vacations is to tornado alley to chase storms.
