My Scrapbook Room

This is my scrap space ~ I just love it. I started scrapbooking over 10 years ago and only had a few things that I would pack away and bring out whenever I worked on something. Slowly but surely I "collected" so much stuff that this was no longer possible. Before I had my kids, I kept my collection on (and under) a table set up in my living room. A year after my son was born I cleaned out this storage closet (rendering many things homeless) and made myself my own space. It was a mess and still housed many items we didn't know where to put. Finally, last year I had enough and decided it was time to paint and decorate! I chose a deep orange and accented with a tealish color. DH strengthened the book shelve so it could hold my

scrapbooks. He hung mug hooks for my fiber and strung some wire under the bookshelf so I can display my latest pages. I put a few of my older camera's on display and hung the word create above some drawers I found in the hardware store ( for my embellishments). I have an old dresser that I store more supplies in and keep my paper on top of it.

DH also re-arranged a pre-existing coat hanger for my packages of rub-ons, stickers really anything that's in a package it works well for. Under these cabinets he hung mug hooks for my fibers. The room is a bit crowded as we also have 2 CD and DVD shelves full in there as

well but I really love it and am so thankful to have a dedicated space to one of my hobbies. I've been in a bit of a funk lately so if I could just make myself go in there and use it now......These were all taken at 1600 ISO as this space is very small and there are no windows. CC welcome and appreciated.

You have no idea how jealous I am! I have taken over my son's room for scrapbooking and am dying to have space. It looks so organized, I bet you can actually find stuff aye? Awesome!

I'm going to have to find me a space! It's such a bummer to have to haul things in and out just to work on a layout. Someday I'll have my own space and maybe I'll be able to catch up! 4 years behind isn't too bad is it?LOL!

OK, I'm officially JEALOUS of your space!!!!!!!!!!! What I would not give for a place like this, even just a nook somewhere. I find myself wanting to know what everything in your shots are. I want to know what's in every little drawer and hiding place. thanks for the motivation...maybe I'll search out a closet for myself.

What a great space. I thought I was going to turn our office into my scrap space, until a recent conversation with dh now has be believing otherwise. :( He wants a room. Someday maybe. For the time being, I'll keep looking at yours to get my fill.

What a fabulous space. I am surprised you would ever want to leave. My space is much bigger but not near as nice and certainly way messier.
